DJ Stoneface Summer Mix 2008
During college I made several dance mixes for my school. I played most of them on WRCT Pittsburgh when I was working there.
Spring Break 2004
This was really the mix that got me noticed late in my sophomore year. I even got calls from HOT 106 Jamz and Kiss FM, but I decided to pursue brotherhood and DJ at KDR instead :-)
JamieMix November 2004
Shortly after becoming a pledge at KDR, I made this mix and dedicated it to Jamie who was on the CMU girls' track team. All the girls on the track team instantly fell in love with the mix, and it worked well as a marketing strategy.
Around Spring 2005 I decided to drop out of CMU.
KateMix July 4th 2005
I also made a mix dedicated to Kate who was also on the track team. In terms of song transitions, this was one of the best-arranged dance mixes. Many of my favorite songs at the time went into this mix. I remember driving to Pittsburgh while listening to this mix to meet Kate, Kim and Adam (and others) and seeing the fireworks.
KateMix Part 2
I remember making and releasing a KateMix Part 2, but I no longer have it. If anyone has it, please e-mail it to me.
KiMiX Halloween 2005
Kim (also on the CMU track team) was one of the sweetest and most mature people you could ever meet. This mix, with a spooky Halloween theme, was named after her.
KiMiX St. Patrick's 2006
I didn't know any other girls on the track team, but I had a new mix. So I decided to call this one KiMiX part 2, and I released it around St. Patrick's Day. It turned out okay.
LindseyMix Homecoming 2006
LindseyMix was probably the best dance mix designed for a 23-minute radio slot that I ever made. All of the songs just worked together. This was also the first time I started encoding mixes at 192 kbps rather than the previous 128 kbps.
DreaMix Spring Break 2007
Drea was also on the track team, but I didn't get to dedicate a mix to her until a year after she graduated. This was definitely a super-fun mix to make. I remember making this mix from my super-tiny duplex in Stow, Ohio.
Here are some other dance mixes that I made throughout the years.
People often ask me, "Who's voice is that in your mix saying 'Slap that b*tch Stoneface!'" The voices are those of my good friends Andy Maneri ("Stoneface! Mix It Up") and Don Decamara ("It's DJ Stoneface, ya heard? Light it up!").
